Sports Feed - Live Scores Widget App Reviews

14 Customer Reviews:

There is a ton of different apps for ios that do similar for various leagues and sports. This one seems to combine many of them in to one awesome but clean widget. It looks like it has potential, but would be cool to add some more leagues. I’m hoping this will come in time. Specifically, the Bundesliga (1 and 2) would be killer considering that it is now getting broadcast on north american television, especially one specific premium channel up here in Canada. More bundesliga matches than MLS and many of the other leagues available are being broadcasted. Meaning, I would guess there is more and more people that are becoming interested in keeping up to date on the increasing quality and interesting drama of the German football leagues. But for a start, this looks like it’s gonna be an awesome addition to my mac notifications.

It’s ok

You should add more detail, like the logos and have the possibility to check a team’s history

Very nice free widget. Replaces the Yahoo widget which no longer works. A couple of suggestions: 1) It uses a LOT of vertical space, taking up about half vertical space in Notification Center on my 1920x1200 laptop screen. Lots of blank space could be eliminated to reduce the vertical footprint. 2) It’s very nice that when you click on a score or upcoming game, it takes you to a website for details. It would be nice if the app would let you choose which website was used. Right now, it takes me to ESPN for MLB games and CBS for NHL games. I’d like it to take me to ESPN for all.

Solid

Just installed it and it makes yahoo sports look like garbage. Still dreaming of an app that scrolls the scores across my desktop like espn does.

No NFL Preseason Support!

The app doesn’t support NFL preseason game scores or schedules.

After installing it and picking my teams i kept getting an error saying i never selected teams, today 5 days after installing it it finally showed me that real madrid was playing today (completely missed that i had another team playing yesterday) but thats about all it did doesnt allow me to keep track of the score….hardly see the point in having it if it doesnt show a score

I deleted this app right away. Clemson was not even included in the NCAA basketball favorites. Seeing Clemson basketball scores in my notifictions center was one of the reasons I downloaded the app in the first place. How an ACC school was left out of the list is beyond me???

Writing this review on April 12th and this widget is only display a score from a game that was played on April 8th. My selected team has since played 4 games since then. Why is nailing down a sports widget so difficult? The Yahoo widget is just as bad.

Everyone probably wants something slightly different from this type of sports app widget that can be viewed in my Today View side panel in OS X Yosemite, but this is what I want: * Schedule of upcoming sports game for teams I select (date, time, and, very importantly to me, TV network) * Ideally don’t take up too much space and look pretty (smallish font, possibly team logos) This gets 5 stars for my first item — unlike its only competitor (the Yahoo! sports app), this one gives me the TV network for the upcoming game, which is important so I know which channel to turn to. That’s huge for me and the main reason I want this type of app. The second item is good but not perfect. It’s a simple and clean app, which I like, but the font is a little large (takes up more space, which is okay if you only follow one team but too big if you follow several teams), it doesn’t have team logos (not a deal breaker), and it includes (bizarrely) gambling statistics (like over-under points, which I definitely don’t want but can’t seem to get rid of). Like the Yahoo app, it also includes the score of the most recent game, which is nice although not necessary since I want this mainly for the upcoming schedule. By comparison to it’s only competitor, the Yahoo! app, this is way better for me for two reasons: (1) it includes the TV network of upcoming games and (2) it’s way smaller (the Yahoo! app seems to want to include a gazillion previous game scores and gazillion upcoming games, along with trending game scores, whatever that means, and it’s divided into a past and upcoming game panes that you have to manually click to switch between — by comparison, this app just gives you the most recent past score and the soonest upcoming game scheduled, nothing else, and it’s all right there in one screen without having to click buttons to switch between past and upcoming games). If I had recommendations for the app developers, it would be these: * Make the gambling data optional, something I can turn off in the settings * Make the font slightly smaller so I can cram more teams in without taking up too much space * If possible (it might not be), add in the team logos (which just add a little prettiness and offialness feel to the app that Yahoo’s app has already) * Add more customization features (such as allowing me to turn on/off the past game scores, allowing me to set the number of upcoming and past games I want in the pane, selecting the order in which teams will appear in the list of scheduled/past games, possibly font size, possibly the ability to limit what games are shown based on what TV networks I have available to me including local affiliates so that I only see the schedule for games I can actually watch based on the TV channels I’ve got subscriptions to — for instance, I wouldn’t want to see the schedule for every game of a team I’m following if the next game is on NBA TV but I don’t own NBA TV and therefor can’t watch that game)

Just a suggestion but if there’s a way to have a notification pop up with scores during halftime or the end of each quarter that would be great. Similar to notifications that pop up when an imessage is received.

Updating my previous review. The Mac app stopped working a few days ago. I tried to contact the company for support but all the links go directly to the App Store! How did Apple let this happen? That means there is no support. Stay away from this app and this company!
